Medical students protest in Colombo over SAITM

Medical students of government universities organized a protest march demanding the immediate closure of South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine (SAITM) in Malabe today (Jan13).
A similar protest march was held in Jaffna this morning by Jaffna University students.
According to reports the Director Board of Sri Jayewardene Hospital have decided to permit students of SAITM to receive clinical training at the hospital.
